What is a name of an over the counter anastetic cream?

Do you mean a topical anesthetic (one that numbs the skin)?

Generic names are lidocaine, tetracaine, benzocaine and prilocaine.

However, the FDA has warned that overuse, or sometimes even frequent use, of topical ';caines'; can cause irregular or rapid heartbeats, seizures, and coma if too much is absorbed into your bloodstream. Therefore, I'm not going to recommend a specific brand name. You may want to search for some of the above generics. What is a name of an over the counter anastetic cream?
